About This Course

From your first chord to your first fingerstyle arrangement, taught with patience and precision.

The acoustic guitar is often the most natural first instrument to learn — a gateway into rhythm, chords, melody and self-expression, with a warm sound that needs no amplifier. At Namah, we build a strong technical foundation while keeping every session fun and song-driven.

Whether you want to strum campfire songs, accompany your own singing, fingerpick intricate arrangements, or write your own material — our curriculum takes you there step by step, with a dedicated mentor who performs and teaches.

Classes are live and personal. Your mentor listens, corrects, demonstrates, and sets clear practice goals so every session moves you forward.

Posture, Tuning & Basics

Holding the guitar correctly, tuning by ear, finger placement and your first open chords.

Weeks 1–4

Chords & Strumming Patterns

Open chords, chord changes, common strumming patterns and playing along with your first full songs.

Fingerpicking & Travis Picking

Building independent finger control, classic Travis-style picking patterns, and playing songs fingerstyle.

Capo Use & Chord Voicings

Using a capo to match your voice, barre chords, and richer voicings that add colour to simple progressions.

Fingerstyle Arrangements & Song Repertoire

Full fingerstyle arrangements of acoustic, folk and film songs, chosen to match your taste and goals.
